While it's unlikely I will touch it anytime soon, chiefly due to exams, I did start on a fill a month ago (I'm also pretty bad at finishing up things I started, but let's have hope :'D). My idea for the fill changed quite a bit, and the nation basically spends their golden age as a woman. While I'd love to go on about what I have planned, I suppose I shouldn't spoil the story before I actually write it, so I'll refrain from spoilers. About half of what I asked won't actually be relevant anymore, though the mutilation (foot-binding) will most definitely be important. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions, even if my plans changed – thanks!.

I like your idea about phantom pains quite a bit, though I'm not sure if it would be socially acceptable for her to appear without bound feet. Admittedly, this won't be a problem for various spoilery reasons, but if she were to interact with other members of the nobility, it would come up. Also, regarding the first question, I realised that the nation in question would honestly probably rather be removed from politics, and might actually prefer being female.

If I can ask another question, do personifications of provinces/states/whatever have to stay at the main country's house as a rule? :'D
