Prussia - Königsberg

Okay all you history and angst lovers out there, time for you to shine.
I have yet to find a story focusing on Prussia and his capital Königsberg (before Berlin).
I'd prefer the modern Prussia reflecting or telling someone about his experiences and history, how it was destroyed in 1944 (I imagine he had a breakdown when that happened; his heart got basically thrown into an inferno) etc etc.
Anything accurately historical you can think of!
There's so much potential in this guys, please fill as much as you like!

BUT: Please don't make Königsberg an OC

Bonus: modern Prussia takes a spontaneous trip there

I'd fill this, except a) I don't think I'd do such a topic justice and b) I need to read up exactly how Königsberg fell - politically.

We wouldn't want an inaccurate re-telling, would we?

And I'd imagine Germany to be suspiciously absent the day Königsberg fell and emotionless on the day Prussia is officially dissolved.
