In light of the new episode we got last week, how about some fluff (or smut, if you'd like) with France and Joan of Arc or Jeanne d'Arc. Something I've noticed in the Nordics is that Denmark seems to always try and get the others to call him brother (or eldest brother), Finland makes comments about how it'd be nice to be called brother, and Norway calls Brother (Anko=Big Brother) AND tries to get Iceland to call him big brother (with varying amounts of success).

I think that after declaring independence from Denmark, Iceland's relationship with him would change in some ways - or at least, he might want it to change. Iceland would probably want to be taken more seriously as a nation (rather than thought of as a kid dependency), for one thing.

I have never read a cardverse story with France/America as main pairing; so I'm looking for that. Same canon, Alfred King of Spade married to Arthur I just want the pairing to be France/America. Plot can be anything.
Maybe he's had a rough day, or he's not feeling well, or he's stressed/worried about something, but whatever the reason, Denmark's feeling down and really needs some snuggle time with Norway. Norway can see that Denmark really does seem to need this right now, so he lowers his defenses and gives him what he wants, much to Denmark's pleasant surprise. The bedroom is dark when he finally returns, but not so dark that Denmark can't make out the line of Norway's back beneath the sheets. There's the glow of the clock and the splash of moonlight through curtains to show Denmark just enough to remind him how long he's been away and all that he's missed--sleep, Norway, home. The day had been so long, so trying in so many ways, so all consuming, it somehow had bled into night before Denmark could stop, draw breath, look at the time and realize that he'd spent all the waking hours of the day fighting a battle he wasn't sure he could win. He's been alive long enough to know that some fights are futile, but its always been in his nature to keep trying, to keep smiling and keep on pushing forward when the cause is true, even if all it gains him is a troubled mind and an aching back.
Now the day is over, the house is silent, and Norway sleeps, curled towards the window and seemingly miles away from Denmark's worried, messy desire to be told that everything is going to be alright. Denmark feels the pinch of tense exhaustion behind his eyes as he takes off his clothes and shuffles towards the bed. Its late and he's the kind of worn-down tired he hasn't been in decades, and all he wants to do is strip himself bare and be still, be quiet, be comforted.
The mattress dips beneath his weight, the sheets rustle around his legs as Denmark risks the possibility of Norway's familiar grumpy displeasure at being woken and slides his arm around Norway's chest so he can splay his hand to feel the steady thump-thump beneath his palm. Norway stiffens beneath the touch and Denmark wonders if he's awake, wonders if maybe he's been awake since Denmark first walked into the room, waiting to see what Denmark would do before giving himself away. Denmark doesn't intend to chase Norway out of sleep, real or fake, doesn't intend to demand Norway's attention. He's got no grander plans than to do more than this, to count Norway's heartbeats and listen to the way his breath catches until he falls asleep, but before Denmark can close his eyes, Norway stirs and opens his.
Norway turns to him, rolls over and shares the sweetness of his matted hair and bleary gaze, and asks:
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing important." Denmark aims for a smile but knows it falls a mile short when Norway's yawn parts around a sleepy frown.
Norway pushes into the hand Denmark still has pressed against his chest and whispers, "I'm awake. Might as well tell me."
Denmark bites his lip and tries to think how to explain, when he doesn't want to spend what remains of the night listing the thousand little things that can make even the longest of lives seem even longer. He watches Norway watching him with that rare patient, concern Denmark loves and wants nothing more than this.
"Sometimes these old bones just ache," Denmark murmurs, closing his eyes and smiling faintly. "Even I get tired, you know."
"Yes. I know," Norway says, covering Denmark's hand and lacing their fingers together. "I understand."
Warm, dry lips brush over his forehead, and Denmark knows that Norway does understand because Norway's bones are also old and they've got so many of the same scars of worry.
Its a wonderful thing, Denmark thinks, to be so known, to let Norway fill in the blanks until he's got the energy to spell it all out. He also knows it is not always easy for Norway to give this to him, knows that Norway didn't have to open his eyes and turn around to see the tired stress written on Denmark's face.

"Matthias. Where are they?" Berwald stuck his head into the Dane's room, narrowing his eyes. He knew his glasses hadn't just gotten up and walked away- and the only one immature enough to take them was the elder boy in front of him.
Matthias turned around slowly, not even bothering to hide the Swede's glasses that he had audaciously put on. Okay, it was one thing to take them, it was another to not even pretend he hadn't.
"What ever are you talking about, dear Berwald?" Matthias pushed the glasses further up the bridge of his nose, acting as though nothing was out of sorts. However, before Berwald could even open his mouth, Matthias burst out laughing, having to hold the earpiece of the glasses to keep them from falling on the ground and cracking. "You should see your face right now, so pissed!" He bent over, clutching his stomach- almost incapable of standing properly.
Unable to take much more of that, Berwald stepped into the room fully and crossed his arms.
"Give em," his words were cut shorter than they normally were- which were short to begin with. Holding out his hand, he expecting the other to have had his fun and hand over the necessity. After all, he had tripped twice just to get to the other's room, that had to count for something. Matthias, however, had other plans.
He simply shook his head and straightened his back, crossing his arms to mimic Berwald.
"Give em back. Now," Berwald's voice was almost unchanged, but if you spoke with him every day, his tone seemed near-venomous. Matthias shook his head again, sticking his tongue out. Why he wasn't making remarks bewildered Berwald for a moment, but he didn't think on it for too long. Now he wasn't just irritated, he was pissed. Normally, Berwald was the defiant one, but now, he was having a taste of his own medicine. And quite honestly, he didn't enjoy how bitter it was. Taking another step forward, he stood in front of the Dane, leaning down a bit so they were eye level with one another.
"Get out of my face," Matthias' laughing face had quickly changed, hating it when Berwald did that. He was older, and as such, didn't think it was fair that he was shorter than the other. Seeing his chance to take back the title of the defiant one, Berwald held his ground, not breaking eye contact.
"Make me. Dare you," their stare lasted a few more moments before Matthias snapped, shoving the Swede away from him.
"Cut that out! You know I hate that!" He nearly raised his voice, but didn't, for fear that he might alert the others in the house. Most people would have ended the argument there and gone to stew in their separate rooms; Matthias and Berwald, however, saw that as a sign of "I give up, you win," words that neither of them had ever uttered in their lifetimes. Being himself, Berwald retaliated and pushed back, a little harder.
Before they knew it, they were holding each other's arms and glaring, trying to get the other off balance- to win.
"Why can't you just listen to me?! Is it really that hard for you?!" Matthias nearly spat it, ignoring the fact that if he hadn't taken the glasses, he fight would have been avoided.
"Why do you mess with me?!" The only time Berwald would raise his voice was if he was fighting with Matthias. As far as he could remember, he had never raised his voice or snapped at another person. Instead of answering, Matthias kicked his right leg out to the side, swinging it around and catching Berwald's left knee. With that, Berwald's balance was gone, forcing him down to the ground. His grip on Matthias' arms had been quite firm, so as he fell, he pulled Matthias with him.
Knowing Berwald would knee him in the crotch if he got the chance (no matter how much shame it would bring to the Bro Code), Matthias pushed himself forwards to be on top of his thighs, seeing as the Swede wasn't quite flexible enough to bring his knee up like that. Grabbing Berwald's wrists, he pinned them down, almost pleased with himself in it.
"I win, in your face," he made each word sound like it's own sentence, unable to hold back the smirk in his voice. Berwald struggled under him, but seeing as Matthias was on top and gravity was in his favour, and he had no use of his arms to try and shove up, he was stuck. He did, however, succeed in pushing Matthias further up, off of his legs. Of course, he tried to knee Matthias in the back, but he just couldn't quite reach. "Oh quit that, Berwald. You know you're stuck. Now say it, I wo-" he cut himself off, feeling his face slowly start to warm.
Matthias hadn't noticed it at first- he had been too focused on gloating-but with Berwald's struggling, he had been pushed directly over the other's groin. In fact, he probably wouldn't have noticed at all, if he hadn't looked down and seen Berwald's flushed face. Apparently, he had been paying a bit more attention.
"Off..." Berwald couldn't come up with anything more intellectual to say, much too focused on the pressure Matthias was putting on him. Matthias on the other hand, was quite happy with their current position- despite the light tinge of red on his face. He wouldn't admit it, but he had thought about this situation at least thrice before. Wordlessly, Matthias started to grind against the Swede, instantly noticing that he had stopped struggling with his wrists.
"You don't seem to hate it as much as you'd like to seem~" Matthias practically sang the accusation- practically. His breathing was already growing a bit laboured, not at all trying to hide or deny what was forming under his clothes. Berwald however, was trying his hardest not to give in. Not to show how much he liked it. Not t- oh, to hél with it. Opening his mouth to remark about how Matthias was practically forcing him to do this, so it wasn't technically his reaction, a small moan came out. Did that really just happen?! If he had blood to spare, it had rushed to his face, making it several shades of red darker.
"You're...such a...jerk.." That was the last coherent thing Berwald said before managing to rip his hands away from Matthias' slackened grip (who was starting to enjoy this far too much). Even with access to his hands, Berwald couldn't help but stay put. That's when his instincts kicked in (or hormones, rather). Setting his hands on Matthias' waist, he managed to return the favour and grind upwards, though physics were not on his side.
To a couple of virgin teenagers, this was about as good as sex got. And as such, knew they couldn't last very long- they weren't totally oblivious, they knew what was going on. Matthias, having been first to actually shut up and let his subconscious take over, was further along than Berwald.
"Ah...fuck," he knew Berwald wasn't fond of cussing, not that he really cared; Matthias knew Berwald wasn't about to scold him just then. Holding onto the hem of his own shirt, Matthias' face flushed a heavy shade of red when he came, almost ashamed that he had finished first. Berwald was pleased by it, not only mentally, since it meant that for a short moment, Matthias moved faster and harder, just pushing him over the edge. Both thought the same thing, "oh crap. My pants."
As if by instinct, they both looked between their legs, relieved to see the lack of stains. However, neither could deny their underwear had become a bit uncomfortable. There was a span of about thirty seconds where nothing was said, both trying to understand what had just happened. One second, they had been about to start choking each other out, and the next, they were creaming in their pants just from one another. Okay, maybe that could've been worded a bit more softly, but it was the cold, hard truth.
"That was...uh..." For once, Matthias was lost for words, climbing off of Berwald and onto his bed, pulling his knees to his chest like a child. Noticing his vision was oddly blurred, he took off Berwald's glasses, holding them out to him. "Uh...sorry...about that..." He swallowed dryly, hoping Berwald wasn't too upset with him. Taking back his glasses, finally having a sharp picture of the world, Berwald rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, trying to come up with something to say.
"It was...it's fine," okay, maybe that wasn't the best way to word it, but Berwald really hadn't minded it all that much. Stepping forward, he quickly placed a kiss on the Dane's forehead before backing out of the room, standing in the doorway for a moment, then shutting the door with a snap. All that could be heard was the fast paced tapping of feet on wood, and the slam of Berwald's bedroom door.
"...fine..." A smile slowly crept up Matthias' features, throwing himself back on his bed. It took all of his pride not to start squealing. He saw himself as far too masculine for that, even after what had just happened. Once he relaxed, a smirk curled onto his lips, rather pleased with himself and his actions. Now, there was no way Berwald could deny him. "He wants me."
Matthias turned around slowly, not even bothering to hide the Swede's glasses that he had audaciously put on. Okay, it was one thing to take them, it was another to not even pretend he hadn't.
"What ever are you talking about, dear Berwald?" Matthias pushed the glasses further up the bridge of his nose, acting as though nothing was out of sorts. However, before Berwald could even open his mouth, Matthias burst out laughing, having to hold the earpiece of the glasses to keep them from falling on the ground and cracking. "You should see your face right now, so pissed!" He bent over, clutching his stomach- almost incapable of standing properly.
Unable to take much more of that, Berwald stepped into the room fully and crossed his arms.
"Give em," his words were cut shorter than they normally were- which were short to begin with. Holding out his hand, he expecting the other to have had his fun and hand over the necessity. After all, he had tripped twice just to get to the other's room, that had to count for something. Matthias, however, had other plans.
He simply shook his head and straightened his back, crossing his arms to mimic Berwald.
"Give em back. Now," Berwald's voice was almost unchanged, but if you spoke with him every day, his tone seemed near-venomous. Matthias shook his head again, sticking his tongue out. Why he wasn't making remarks bewildered Berwald for a moment, but he didn't think on it for too long. Now he wasn't just irritated, he was pissed. Normally, Berwald was the defiant one, but now, he was having a taste of his own medicine. And quite honestly, he didn't enjoy how bitter it was. Taking another step forward, he stood in front of the Dane, leaning down a bit so they were eye level with one another.
"Get out of my face," Matthias' laughing face had quickly changed, hating it when Berwald did that. He was older, and as such, didn't think it was fair that he was shorter than the other. Seeing his chance to take back the title of the defiant one, Berwald held his ground, not breaking eye contact.
"Make me. Dare you," their stare lasted a few more moments before Matthias snapped, shoving the Swede away from him.
"Cut that out! You know I hate that!" He nearly raised his voice, but didn't, for fear that he might alert the others in the house. Most people would have ended the argument there and gone to stew in their separate rooms; Matthias and Berwald, however, saw that as a sign of "I give up, you win," words that neither of them had ever uttered in their lifetimes. Being himself, Berwald retaliated and pushed back, a little harder.
Before they knew it, they were holding each other's arms and glaring, trying to get the other off balance- to win.
"Why can't you just listen to me?! Is it really that hard for you?!" Matthias nearly spat it, ignoring the fact that if he hadn't taken the glasses, he fight would have been avoided.
