But there is this one issue, namely that Romania hates Russia greatly do to their past while Bulgaria thinks Russia is one of the nicest guys in the world, helping him with Independence and everything.
Meanwhile Russia is not quite sure why Romania dislikes him so much but it is quite troublesome.
So Bulgarias two "friends" are "fighting". Can be nationwerse or AU.

This is beautiful and just the kind of story I was thinking of. I love the way you depict how his thoughts are circling and like the other commentor I enjoyed the details and not finding out what was said. The ambiguity (especially since these two are not a hissy-spitty, always fighting pairing) adds to the tension.
I also like the last two lines, especially how Germany decides that in the morning he will talk but it's both of them in the end who do. Because communication in relationships is awesome and so important.

And after a while, Den realizes he's fallen in love with Nor (due to Den just being oblivious, he doesn't realize until the wet dreams/random erections/whatever ), but doesn't make any moves on him (mainly due to not sever connections, be called a pedo, whatever along that gist). Nor reveals to have a crush and eventually pulls the first move (just a kiss or something like that.)

Nations can die for a bit, but must come back unless on the brink of dissolution. How the "remains" are taken care of and how America escapes burial (or cremation) is up to anon. Arthur finds Alfred, now back to his normal appearance but physically drained. He drags the US back to his house and helps him recover while calling him an idiot all the while.
