When Canada is young, something happens that causes his mind to splinter, a protective alter taking over while the original is hidden away. His mind can continue splitting over his lifetime, if you want, but all the alters know about each other, and only the original remains hidden and unaware.
In a relationship with NationA who finds out about his alters, Canada's alters show themselves to NationA, and after much convincing, NationA gets them to allow the original to rise to the surface, only to find that he still believes he's a child Nation.
