HongKong has been living with China for years and 99% of the time, China drives him completely crazy, nagging at him, mothering him, all the random lectures, forgetting things here and there, and relying on him for support when HK just wants to be left alone to relax. But then there's that 1% of the time when China isn't acting like a crazy old man and actually seems calm and dignified, then HK has to deal with the horror that he just might be attracted to his much older mentor.
Whether or not China feels the same is up to you. And if you see them as brothers rather than mentor/student relationship, either is fine. Looking more for silly fluff then smut but hey, feel free to do whatever you like.
