Well, the youtube thing is more of a copyright law GONE HORRIBLE WRONG thing than censorship. Really, it's crazy <-< (when you go to Germany: take your proxys with you, really <-<). Like: there's music in that video, let's block it <-<
You can also still legally own and buy stuff on the Index, it's just very hard to get that stuff since no one is allowed to sell it in the open which makes stuff incredible hard to get sometimes (not impossible, mind you xD). And no ads. You also have to be 18+ as buyer, but well, didn't stop my friend from getting Hellsing Volume 4 when she was 13 or 14 xD For music it's in general easier to just import a foreign version.
Germany seems to go harder on violence (and Nazi) and just a lot softer on sex ^^ Also, the no-swastika-rule except in an art (movies, pictures), educational and religious context. Video games do not seem to count as art <-
