If you put England's birthday at 23 April (St George's Day) that would make Arthur a Taurus and Portia's "you just appreciate pretty things" is entertainingly even more fitting, because Taurus's do love them some pretty things. Like a well-shaped ass or pair of breasts. Sorry, I can't help but laugh a little. I loved that part of the restaurant scene.
Anyway, this update was entertaining; what a clever way for Alfred to get proof positive of Arthur's sexuality.
I think you're doing a great just with Alfred's personality as well. I really get a sense of him as a real person. He's quirky, but realistically so, for the position that he has and the life that he's had (from what has been revealed of it thus far).
