Alfred surprised himself as he handed Francis his keys. Perhaps it was a bit overhanded, but it had been a while since Alfred had even thought about flirting, but, he made sure to bump hands and hold the contact slightly longer than necessary. He had an awkward smile on his face as he looked at Francis, but the Frenchman seemed to understand, and smiled back in a way that sent butterflies fluttering in Alfred’s stomach.
“I look forward to seeing you and your son,” Francis winked, and got into his car to drive away.
Alfred found himself watching Francis as he drove off, and sighed. He turned and looked at his son, thinking that even if he was ready to try and move on, he still had his son to look after. Romance, and with a man as well, was quite out of the question for the moment. Even so…
Shaking himself out of his thoughts, he went over and tapped his pride and joy on the shoulder, “Hey, kiddo, ready to go home?” Arthur looked up and nodded, his face clearly saying finally. Alfred gave an apologetic shrug, and picked up Arthur’s school bag, before going to shut off the lights, and lock up. “So that French guy, he seemed nice enough, right?”
“No.” Arthur told him with conviction. “Aside from the fact that he is a frog, he kept us hear for an hour longer than we needed to be.”
“Hey, he left us a huge tip,” Alfred shrugged. “And… I think we’ll take him up on his offer. Free food is always a good thing, right?”
Arthur snorted. “Only if we can go when he’s about to close and make him wait that long.”
There was a small smile on his face as he ruffled Arthur's hair, "You know... I think we just might do that...."
((Ok, separated the paragraphs this time. Hope its better to read ^^; Also this having to split this up like this is kinda lame. Weh.))
