Though it nearly made me cry, I was excited when they stumbled on to some very common ground and way to relate and diminish their time period differences. That kind of thing is huge when two people are dating/courting.
I love Arthur's concerns with fairness. He is actually at quite the disadvantage. He doesn't even know what he has at his disposal with which to court Alfred. Maybe he needs to see out a mutual party that is willing to help him a bit, maybe someone who knows Alfred well? Still, on his own, he found something so spontaneous and simple. And, wow, that spin! I could picture it in my head and that whole scene, though sad in parts, was so romantic. *swoons*
