OP did not notice this was filled. *headdesk*
First off, nice fill. I like that it dealt with a heavy topic while having the request filled. I like a good serious fic.
I also liked the pairing; I don't get to see much Turkey/Egypt. The fact that Sadik and Heracles fought so much also makes sense.
I only have one qualm with it; perhaps a little more show, a little less tell.
Otherwise, fantastic. ;)

OP said in the request that he/she preferred it will be in modern time, so...
Yeah, I guess so. As long as the emphasize is on the process of what leads to the adoption and the process of the adoption itself. What comes after is really up to you, I don't mind :)
Anon this is utterly brilliant. You've written Francis wonderfully, and I love Feliciano-- even though he doesn't talk much, he's still perfectly in-character. Your world-building is wonderful, as well. I do hope you continue this!
This was wonderful, anon! Francis' characterization and thoughts through the whole process really made this a fascinating read. I couldn't help but like him even though the dehumanization of the slaves was so strongly present. But that's exactly what I wanted!
The other characters were wonderful as well, and I'm impressed by how much characterization you were able to put into such a short story. Lovino in particular was great. And I love the uncommon master/slave combinations you did because these characters don't usually get to interact.
All in all, this was an amazing fill, anon! Thank you so much for writing!

Certainly! I love your other fill, so if this prompt inspires you, go wild!
Fabulous, no doubt-- though I am affraid I had already read it. [Also, if you happen to know the author, kick them in the butt for not updating]

It's not extremely important. A close friendship or something like it is fine with OP
Did someone say separatist movement?

you updated! Thanks so much!!!! THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. I've even started compiling them into word documents so I can send them to my kindle and read and read and reread again!
Thank you soo much! I'm really intrigued to know if it's a happy or sad ending (I'm personally rooting for sad with USUK action but I'm an evil bum)but of course, I want this fic to go on forever because it's just so freaking amazing.
Good Luck at School! x

Well, I would definitely prefer it to be modern time – somewhere in the XXI century. Mostly because I’m interested in seeing how citizens-ocs would interact with those nations today.
...Still, if someone _really_ wants to fill with a different time period, has a VISION and stuff, then I of course won’t tell you that you can’t. Besides, multiple fills are welcome, so I guess other epoch does not exclude a modern fill :).

Yes, I'm looking for plantation style slavery, as well as the type of architecture, culture (rich upper class, lower middle class of skilled workers etc.) and dress of the time period. Obveously, considering this is a fandom where literally every character is from a different country, almost entierly Europe and Asia, it would be fairly impossible to divide it along the race line.
Sechelles does not count as being 'black' because Hima-papa doesn't /draw/ her as black a lot of the time, he changes her skin tone constantly in the strips and her first apearence in the anime she was strait up white. I'm sure Hima-papa had to approve the characters before the show was aired. I am not familiar with Cameroon as a character.

I like the confident, manly homosexual. Sadly that's something one doesn't see in many fics (or media in general). Well done!
This is well written and easy to follow! I can't wait to see where you'll take us next ;D

Um, aww, i saw someone wanted to fill it with RusAme and you said that that's what you had in mind, but can I do some RoChu too? ;_;

(Anonymous) 2013-02-10 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)WHY DOES THIS CRACK ME UP SO MUCH
Oh god why?! I look at it and think it's kind of disgusting but then it cracks me up so incredibly much that I can't stop giggling, I hate you for this, OP D:
so... SECOND. >_>

Would OP mind if it's set in multiple time periods, mostly focusing on how the relationship evolves? And smut, is smut good? And creepy sex (because I totally love creepy sex in which they discuss what they will do and stuff...)?
I would not write it as much of a Bonny and Clyde thing, but more... disturbing. Yes, I think disturbing is fitting. So, uhm, maybe the love will show a bit less. Is that acceptable?

OH MY GOD THAT ACCENT

Anon, will you marry me and have little kids with me which we could then ship off to Norway so they could talk like that and

SCREECH well I. really love your AU, so I'm really glad you enjoyed it and that you didn't think I was misrepresenting the character and managed with the fill without anyone going rampantly ooc <3
To tell the truth I was on the fence about the "it" thing and it. does look really weird in text on a couple of places, so I appreciate the opinion. And yes, I was trying to hint at that Lovino sees them more as people, which is why he thinks it's scary to own one - you can't control them like you would a pet.
Really, thank you so much <3!

Thank you so much! I had a lot of twisted fun writing Feliciano being his adorable self in a way that was kind of horrifying, so I'm really glad that came out right ^^ I am definitely writing something that will follow up on the kids and how they handle their new slaves at least <3
YAY, I'm so glad this is what you wanted ^^ Doing this from the slave trader's perspective was a lot of fun, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. And since I wanted the fill to be complete in itself, even if I might write further on it, I wanted to cram as much of the characters in there as I could xD
Thank you so much in turn for this wonderful prompt, nonnie, I had a lot of fun <3

1942:
“You’re still here,” Arthur complained half-heartedly as he walked into the living room.
“Are you really going to say that every morning for however long I’ll be staying here?”
“I guess I’m still sort of hoping it’ll make you cry again like it did the first morning.”
Francis huffed and rearranged himself on the couch to make room for Arthur. “You know I really do appreciate you letting me stay here, right?”
Arthur smirked. “Well, if you keep saying that I’m never going to stop asking you.”
“It’s the truth,” Francis offered.
Arthur sat down next to Francis. “You’d have done the same for me.”
Francis shrugged and Arthur playfully slapped him. “You know you would have. You’ve never let me down before.”
Francis rested his head on Arthur’s shoulder and nodded. “What are you going to be doing today?”
“Going down to London.”
“Arthur,” Francis whined.
“What?” Arthur asked, lightly pushing Francis away.
“You go to London every day! And every day it’s the same thing! More rubble to sweep and more bodies to bury. Stay, just for today. Pour moi. S’il te plait.”
Arthur glared at Francis. “I need to go.”
“Do you know hard it is for me to watch my best friend come home in tears every day?”
“Find somewhere else to live, then,” Arthur huffed, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Hmmm... I think Germany has some free space in his basement. A little torture never hurt anyone, after all.”
Arthur rolled his eyes. “And make me rescue you again? Please.”
Francis spread out dramatically. “I bet you’d leave me to my horrible fate! Oh the horror!”
Arthur pulled his tie off and threw it at Francis. “As if.”
Francis caught the tie and sat up. “You never go anywhere without your tie,” he said suspiciously. “Does this mean...”
Arthur undid his cufflinks and threw himself upon the couch. “It’s not as if I have much of a choice. When you want something, you get your way Or Else.”
Francis chuckled. “It’s for the best, anyway. You wouldn’t want to tire yourself out with the meeting tomorrow.”
“Meeting? What meeting? Oh, that meeting.”
“Alfred’s going to be there,” Francis teased.
Arthur’s hands flew to his head. “Does my hair look all right?” He asked nervously.
Francis giggled. “I said he’s going to be there tomorrow, not that he’s here now.”
“He is? Where!” Arthur buried his face in Francis’ shoulder.
The doorbell rang twice. Francis laughed and lightly pushed Arthur aside. “I’ll get that. Probably just another delivery.”
Francis left and came back into the living room after a few moments. He leaned in ahead of the guest and whispered, “Alfred’s here.”
Arthur ran his hands through his hair and flopped down on the couch. “Don’t joke.”
“I’m serious, Arthur.”
“What? Really? Tell him to wait a moment, I’m not even dressed!” Arthur squeaked, standing up and looking for his tie while struggling to put his cufflinks in.
“Iggy’s naked?” Alfred called from the waiting room. “I need to see this!”
Alfred burst into the room, hamburger hanging out his mouth. “Oh,” he said disappointedly, frowning at Arthur’s clothed form.
Arthur blushed heavily and fiddled with his collar. From the corner of his eye, he saw Francis looping the tie around his own neck.
Arthur glanced back at Alfred. “Please don’t get grease on the carpet,” was all he could think to say.
“Don’t worry about it, man,” Alfred mumbled through a mouthful of burger.
Francis gestured encouragingly behind Alfred.
“Uh, um, and next time take your shoes off before entering the parlor. It’s raining outside.”
“You’re still here,” Arthur complained half-heartedly as he walked into the living room.

Francis shot him a disapproving look.
“I thought you stupid Americans would know better with all your fancy planes.”
Francis face-palmed.
“Anyway, I just wanted to hang out,” Alfred said.
“What makes you think I’d want to associate with the likes of you?” Arthur asked haughtily.
Alfred laughed obnoxiously. “Because I’m a hero and you don’t have any friends besides me and Canadia!”
“Francis is my friend,” Arthur protested.
Alfred raised a skeptical brow. “Are you kidding me? You guys hate each other!”
“Alfred, please don’t tell me who I-”
“Whatever, man. Let’s play some video games.”
“Alfred, you wanker, video games haven’t even been invented yet! It’s 1942!”
“Whatever. Sit down.”
Francis walked out of the room shaking his head and muttering something about ‘stupid clueless Englishmen’ while Arthur allowed himself to led back to the couch.
“Call of Duty or Mario Brothers?”
“If I wanted a war I’d step outside.”
“Mario bros it is then.”
