OP: It's fine. I wrote this knowing that someone was more than likely going to take umbrage with it, and I accept that. She's as welcome to her opinion and to say something about it as I am to reject it. She wasn't rude. She was very civil about it.

Other!Anon: I'm going to continue to write any way I'm comfortable, and any way that makes me happy and gets words on the paper. People didn't like how I used to characterize France, and people don't like how I characterize him now, and I'm not going to bend backwards anymore to please people who I don't even know. I write for me, and me first.

I don't actually think I was all that civil and I apologize for that. I wasn't impressed with your writing or your characterization, but, then again, we're all amateurs here and it isn't my place to offer criticism that isn't constructive. I'm just bad at giving concrit. I've got the crit part down, but not the con part, unfortunately.
