There was another fill on the meme about Sweden and Finland running away together to live as humans and I was worried that this would be too much like that one but you did an excellent job Author!Anon. This was not only beautifully written it was distict in it's voice and emotion. While the other story had the constant understanding hanging over their heads that they would eventually be found and forced back into their lives as Nations you conveyed a sence of finality to the decision to run away together. I love how it was painfull and difficult to leave their lives and loved ones but it was more painfull to live the way they were. I do have that pesimistic part of my brain saying that they won't be able to keep up the human act indefinitely especially because people are bound to notice that they don't age. They'll have to keep moving every decade or so but that's probably just me.

I also loved your use of "Kukkamuna" instead of "Hanatamago". I always have trouble with the blatantly Japanese names for Hanatamago and Kumajiro. I hope you don't mind if I steal the use of Kukkamuna for my own fics. I would like to know why you chose to use "Timo" instead of the comonly accepted "Tino". With how well this is written it dosn't feel like it was just a slip-up and I was hoping to see an explanation in the notes.

Anyway. Excellent job Author!Anon. With your skill I don't think it's necesary for anyone to be gentle with you. I hope to see more from you on the meme.

Thank you very much for the reply! It means quite a lot to me. It was painful to write at times and I almost wanted to scrap it because I imagined how it felt for them to just leave everything so suddenly and so definitively. I'm very glad I continued to carry it out, though. I'm quite attached to it.

It hurt too much to go too into how their story actually ends, since it probably would not always be as sunny as I wanted to make it seem. I didn't have them adopt an animal or a child simply because it would feel like replacing the family they had worked so hard to build as nations... and they aren't really human and would just be reminded of that fact with the mortality of animals/children.

The usage of Japanese, even when explained away, just seems so bizarre to me. I use Flower Egg at times, too, but it sounds simply adorable in Finnish. I don't mind the usage at all! Timo is a more traditional Finnish name and it sounds... not-Italian, like Tino does. I forgot about that note, haha. I've grown so used to writing it as "Timo," I forgot to mention why I used that instead!

Thank you so, so much for the positive response. You flatter me. I've finished another fic that just has to read over by my beta (who I didn't have for this fic). You'll definitely be seeing more of me, but only under Sweden/Finland fills (or Any/Any which I turn into Sweden/Finland fills). I do hope you enjoy them, too.
