I've been there and you're right about the pasta, I ate pasta before lunch everyday, and dinner usually consisted in lots of food and conversation. Also, in South Italy I drank the best coffee of my life. An aunt prepared it every morning and it was the perfect mixture between sweetness and bitterness. Actually, every cup of coffee my family gave me was like that, so I'm not sure if it was a family thing or an Italian thing. Sorry if that was too random. *goes back to the camp*
