Nation A, for whatever reason, began self harming. They've been doing it for a long time, and since Nations heal so fast it was never enough and they slowly tried more and more until eventually they killed themselves. When they came back to life it was such a rush that they did it again and again until they became addicted to it. They can't stop even though they know it's bad for them.
Then someone finds out about what they're doing, and tries to help.
(I'm not fussed about who character A is, but I'd love it to be Denmark)
