You are only getting the kind of comments your fill deserves, authorperson. Honestly. And don't apologize for the time you take to write! You aren't slow at all, and you give us long, meaty updates. I don't think anyone has any complaints.
First of all, I absolutely love the first section of this update. Love, love, love it. I think it provides a very telling window into Denmark's past and his psyche. I admit, at first I was wondering, "Where is this going?" But then you got to the last paragraph, and it's such a zinger! It made so much sense and it explained so much and oh, it hurt in all the right ways. Poor Denmark. It hurts to see how much he's given up on himself.
And then Norway! Aww. Don't worry, you're making Norway just the right amount of angsty--not melodramatic or over-the-top, but enough that you know he's had issues (and from what we know of his parents, I don't blame him). He's one of my favorite characters (in case you couldn't tell), so I'm really happy with how you're writing him.
And oh, Denmark. I loved seeing him realize that he's a bit too interested in Norway, and that said interest is in a way that really isn't appropriate. The description of Norway's hands was lovely. And then Denmark's reaction in the bathroom--ouch. Honestly, all of that last section is absolutely wonderful. I was going to highlight my favorite parts, but there's just so much of it that I like, so I'll just say: All of it. Maybe I'm a bit of a masochist, but it hurts so good.
This whole update is a whole lot of ouch for Denmark, isn't it? But I really, really like it. I like that Denmark has issues. I like that he's disgusted with himself. It's a very realistic, very humanizing response. And the way he tries to paper it over, hide it with his mask of smiles and lies--that makes it hurt even more.
(Keep doing it. Making your characters hurt is a good thing.)
Does Norway know exactly what was going on in the bathroom? That strikes me as a potential freakout point for Denmark. On the one hand, Norway was worried about him enough to hang around right outside the bathroom. On the other hand, if Norway figures out that Denmark was dealing with more than just an upset stomach in there--well. If Norway figures it out, that could potentially make for lots of fireworks.
I can't wait to see how Denmark proceeds from here. I think it's going to be really hard for him because deep down, he's a good guy, and I don't think he'd ever forgive himself if he hurt Norway. Things are going to get interesting when he realizes that it isn't just a bit of sexual frustration at work here.
