not!op, but I ... didn't perceive any insult to AmeCan shippers, just that OP (really, really) wasn't one of them.

And as much as I love the pairing myself - it's basically IRL canon! - I would second this with not AmeCan, if only so that America can get more love with people he usually doesn't get paired with!! (Sweden pls? :3)

You're right, I did overreact and I'm sorry for that. I'm just getting very tired of the ship wars and pairing and character bashing going on in this fandom. It's created a hostile, unpleasant atmosphere and Hetalia fandom's reputation was bad enough already.

It's one thing to say "No Canada, please; I don't care for that pairing." It's OK to not want your prompt to be filled with a paring you don't like. It's another to imply that other people should stop writing it at all and that's what really annoyed me.

But yeah, I would like to see more love for America with characters he usually isn't paired with. I'd love to see Thailand or Austria myself (Although Sweden would be really hot, too!)

There's a Thailand/America under a prompt for rare pairings. Set when they first met and Thailand was actually Siam.

OP here: I'm not being rude, I'm okay with the pairing, I'm just tired of seeing it right now. And I never insulted anyone! When did I honestly just flat out insult the fans of the pairing? No offense, but your comment was rude.

And to the person who responded to this, I know I should have been nicer, but I sometimes... don't think when I write... orz And personally, I'd love to see America with another person in glasses, whenever I see him with someone else who wears glasses, it's 99% Canada, it's kind of unoriginal to see.

I should have written that better, but do not call me rude or an asshole for a little mistake in my wording.

AYRT here. I see where you're coming from now. However, your wording came across as though you wanted other people to stop writing CanAm all together, and that's going to annoy people.

I didn't mean for it to come out like that, some prompts work perfectly for CanAme, but I kinda want to see some other rare pairings with America for this ^^; Sorry if I came off sounding negative.
