oh god what no that was supposed to read (3/4), but i screwed up
sorry it's like three am here and usually i'm asleep -

In two thousand nine he finds himself sitting in his car outside of a hospital, knows the name for it now but not the face he should hide behind. There isn't one though - it was a stupid thing to think of and -
And he tells Denmark he's not stupid on a Thursday morning, twirling the phone cord around his index and middle fingers, imagines he's most likely done it before. He gets ready to get rid of the idea until Denmark says, "I know that. You've told me."
"Oh. Did I? I felt the need to say it again, then."
He really does hate him, sometimes, and maybe that's where the fire comes from - maybe it's because he wanted to watch the sunset that he took him away from. He's seen so many since, though, so many that it shouldn't matter - it was just that that one was probably his first and it was sacred then. First anythings are always sacred, aren't they?
(The first time he killed someone, a human. Iceland was a child, then, and was not allowed to go with them when they raided a village, despite the fact that Denmark and the others insisted he should.)
One minute goes, two pass. At last, he hears a click.
He could have smirked.

oh my goodness i am so tired ahm
this is kind of my first time writing both norway and denmark, honestly - i haven't really explored their characters at all
this was just a spur of the moment, "oh i want to do a fill for this with norway," thing and i hope you enjoy it all the less ahm
OP is very pleased with this anon~ and I had a suspicion that Norway would be the poor victim. ^^; You wrote them both very well for a first time thing, congrats! And thank you so much for filling this out :D
That was absolutely gorgeous. The cynicism, melancholy, and slight amusement at his condition just characterize Norway so well. The ambiguity of the ending just adds to everything. You did justice to a terible condition, so well done. Norway and Denmark are tricky to write, and you did very well. So props all around.

(Anonymous) 2012-02-05 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)I can seriously feel Norway's frustration and I love that acidic cynical take on his condition.
Love this.
Sorry, shit at writing comments.
