During a time of unrest between the two nations, turkey gets lost beyond the nothern borders of his home in a snow storm. Russia finds him but Turkey doesn't have his mask on and he can't recognize Turkey, so he merely assumes that Turkey is a stranger and brings him home.
When Turkey wakes up he is shocked, but soon understands the situation and plays along for fear of being found out by the enemy alone. But Russia surprises him by his kind and warm treatment.
