Oh, thanks for taking the time to answer this curious!floored!anon.

I am definetely going to read your fill, I can only foresee OSOMSAUCE ahead!!

But your headcanon still makes me curious LOL Is your headcanon something like a FACE family idea? Where France is Dad and Canada is Brother...and England is Mom? I've read those stories, so very nice and well-written, most of them! *nodsnods*

But if that is the case...America would not ask his "dad" but would ask his "mom"? Or your America doesn't consider England for the "mom" role? O_o Which is kind of sad, you know, if you compare it to America labeling France as "dad". England gave out his everything for child!America, so how come is France regarded as the parent figure instead?

...but if you tell me this is all for the sake of USUK sexytimezzz, then by all means GO GO GO.

*is being a retard, sorry luv*

Questions are totally awesome, anon =3 And I'm always happy to answer.

My head-canon does somewhat revolve around the FACE family idea with America and Canada as siblings and France and England as parental figures. I'm not entirely sure I would always label England as the 'mother' figure, as it depends on the time period and which sibling I'm referring to at the time and what the situation happens to be.

In America's case, France is the "parental/father figure" while England can be considered a "former paternal figure turned influential sibling". To me, France retains the 'father figure' with Prussia and Antonio as uncles, as the those three were...pretty much the only reason America won its revolution. England, despite the rift with America after the revolution was still a pretty big influence, since we basically stole most of our Industrial Revolution from them, if I recall right, among other things.

In turn, Canada started out as New France, but became the British Dominion of Canada after the Seven Years/French and Indian War and as such, retained England as a parental country while France became the "influential brother" figure.

With saying that, in regards to the story, England did indeed give his everything for child!America and for now he does still see America-and Canada- as children he needs to protect. I won't spoil the story much more, but I can promise that while Iggy-boo and America aren't in a relationship, they will be developing towards one, because, well, I can't resist.

Anyways! I hope I managed to answer your question! If not, by all means, just say so and I'll try to think up a way to make it clearer =3! *likes answering questions*

Well my lady, you have certainly answered my question, thank you so much. Ahh such nice writers!anon we have these days.

And while now I understand your headcanon *whispers* even if I don't agree with it.

I mean, that's really okay because our headcanons are every single one of them FANON since, well, we are fans LOL and to quote the Caesar "men believe what they wish". Each of us can choose interpretations and the such. And respect and love each other, peace in earth and etc.

I still think that while France was indeed a decisive force in favor of America winning his Revolution, the French fought for reasons that had very little to do with the pure benefit of the 13 colonies (pardon my realism here XD) And so, America is more bound to consider France the big brother turned quasi-hero-back-then, while England before and during the Revolution was the parental figure, although with the passing of time Arthur finally becomes a former parental figure, since America broke free and grew so damn fast.

Putting that aside, England probably doesn't want to be considered "dad/mom" anyway, at least not anymore. But it must be a bit...disappointing, to hear Alfred giving such familiar names to other people while he sits there doing all the dirty work.

Or that is just me, projecting XDDD Anyway, great thing that you gave me the opportunity to chat you up. Thanks! I look forward to the boys developing a relationship! Those are my favorite stories!! *sends lots of love and cookies, expect airmail soon ne!*
