God, anon, stop making me crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry. T_T Okay, since things are about to start changing fast, maybe I won't cry as much? I hope? ... Yeah, right.

And oh, Alfred never wanting to be full again is about the most wrong thing I've ever read is this fandom. ;_; That's incredibly freaky to think about, but your explanation made it make perfect sense. Honestly, both Matthew and Alfred probably are going to have crazy issues with food, love, and affection for the rest of their lives. OTL And something about calling it his "quiet fury" just gave me chills. I got this image of cute little neglected Matthew -- though in some horrible way, he's probably better off being the neglected one and avoiding his mother's attention, but just barely better off -- clutching his bear to his chest and peering over it with burning violet eyes. And it just creeped me out a little. Yikes.

And the Jewish Christmas thing was totally unoffensive to me, at least; we call it the same thing, actually. Self-effacing humor, or some other word I can't think of right now, I guess? Jews, atheists, people with no (nearby) family, city folk, etc., often do the same thing; it's kind of the best time to see a movie, too. You get the theater to yourself (if your city has one open) or get to watch a marathon of non-Christmas movies and have delicious food delivered to your home so you don't even have to get off your lazy butt to make dinner or do dishes or anything! XD And all in lovely weather, often enough. ... It's too late for Christmas in July, but maybe I can have Christmas on Labor Day?

... Is it terrible that I actually expected Francis to follow him to his home this soon? I'm not sure where you're going with this scene, so I'm really curious now. Actually, that curiosity (and my possibly soon-to-be-crushed hope for Alfred's situation) and the Jewish Christmas thing nearly dried my tears in the time it took to write this. Yay for having mercy on my black little heart, anon. <3 Also, adorable children with toys. :D (I'm still hoping that Kiku will hastily make something for him or give him something for Christmas, although the gingerbread kind of works. And got him to eat again, finally.)

... *happily stalking this fic :D*

Ah, and I'm happy you showed us how terrified Alfred was at the idea of servicing random women, as well as what kind of pain and violation he was willing to go through to feed his babies. Ironically, other things actually broke my heart more in this chapter. Good god, I fail.

Also, please let Russia not be a horrific, abusive rapetruck. Please, please, please. ;_;

Don't worry! Russia won't be a rapetruck. He won't actually have that big a role, but even if he did, I wouldn't make him one.

And thank you for the wonderful comment, anon! :D

Oh thank god. And thank you, seriously. I mean, the potential for abuse there is bad enough without him being like that, but if he actually were like that? I'd seriously run out of tears or something. Although I suppose he could have just been a general creep without being a rapetruck, I'm glad to hear that won't be going on. (I hate to say it, but I imagine Russia as just weirdly asexual for the most part, which would be strangely funny to me. Ironic, anyway, in this story.) Yeah, and I can see how Russia probably won't be playing a big role; Alfred just wants to make his money, then get home to his babies and forget about his job. As much as can, I mean.

And I guess it's probably a given, but I really hope Francis brought poor Alfred his jacket back. He's probably already freezing from being underweight. :'D And the jacket thing was excellent planning on your part, by the way! It doesn't even seem like a plot device, really, because most of us would have rushed out without it in Alfred's situation, too.
