In steps Ivan who offers him a way out. All he has to do is to become a communist. Like with China after WWII. Will love you if you do a RussiaxAmerica.

In real life America was in serious danger of becoming Communist during the Depression, if it wasn't for FDR and the New Deal. So this is a very easy historical AU to imagine - just don't have FDR become president. =D
