That low rumbling noise grew louder and more intense. He flinched for a moment and looked around in paranoia and fear. Then, he realized it was coming from the top of the mountain. It…was…an…
“AVALANCHE!!!” He wailed at the top of his lungs. He watched helplessly as the roaring wave of snow ran closer and closer to the little nation until her blonde hair disappeared as it consumed her. Shocked, scared, and traumatized, Canada stood in frozen terror. This resort was built so that avalanches wouldn’t reach it but… Liechtenstein. Switzerland would be inconsolable if he lost the little girl he saved after World War I. He had to call somebody…no, it would take to long to turn around and get help while she lay there freezing and suffocating in the cold snow. He had to go up… now. He never took his eyes off the spot where she disappeared as he headed up the ski lift.
“Did anyone else hear that loud drone or feel that vibration?” Japan asked in the lobby, where the rest of the countries were.
“Da, I can feel the vibration of Latvia shaking.” Russia answered as the trembling nation was still placed on his lap.
“Such cold snow…trees… passing by fast…barely missing them…” Latvia muttered as he recollected the terrifying experience of skiing with Russia holding on to him.
“Hey! Where’s Liechtenstein?! She’s not in the building anywhere!” Switzerland urgently asked.
“Maybe she’s still… outside.” Austria suggested. Hungary rushed out to the window, and gasped in horror.
“Oh dear! The snow, look! There must have been an avalanche!”
“Don’t worry; I’m sure it won’t reach us!” Italy hopefully pointed out, not exactly putting all the pieces together.
“No…nonono…NO!” Switzerland murmured incoherently as he rushed outside, followed by everyone else.
“Emergencia! I’ll call a rescue team!” Spain alerted as he stumbled towards the nearest phone.
“Where could she possibly be?” Germany asked.
“I…she… let’s search the bunny slopes first. Hurry!” Switzerland ordered them out as if they were his troops.
Meanwhile, a little farther from the peak of the mountain, Canada rabidly dug out the spot he suspected her of disappearing at with his gloved hands. She must be one or two feet under the snow, so if he didn’t find her within the next few minutes of digging, he’d have to move to another spot. Please be alive. Oh Lord, please, please, please do not take this little girl now. Furiously breathing as he shoved snow out of the way, his face was turning red due to the exposure and the anxiety he was going through. He would do this for hours until he found her.

“Da, I can feel the vibration of Latvia shaking.”
OH, RUSSIA.
