I was rewarding World Series, and there are so, so many times when France says he'd want to make Romano a french territory. The only restriction I ask is that making him a French territory does not involve sex. I really don't like the idea of France using a little boy like that. I, not saying France can't be affectionate, he can, and he can make innuendos to make it seem like he's talking about sexual acts, but please, please, don't make him actually want to do such things.

What would've happened if France succeeded in making Romano his? Not North Italy, only South Italy. What would the relationship entail? How did he go about doing it? How did Spain react? North Italy?

Feel free to chose the time period, how long Romano has belonged to France, and when he managed to slip away and turn to Italy.

I want to confirm that this prompt is asking for a warped history or a "what if..." scenario rather than an actual time period?

Warped history, yes ^^ and I don't mind what year the storyline takes place in, as long as Romano became French territory when he was young.
