I really liked this update, actually. It was a much needed breather after so much happening. I also felt like it's leading the fic in interesting directions.
I couldn't get out of my mind that Veneziano was manipulating Romano into what was best for Veneziano, not Romano. The question, though, would be - does he truly want him with Spain? Or is he planning on how to bring them together only to break them up so he can continue controlling his brother?
Despite having a fondness for Spamano, I honestly really liked Romano's reflection here. He may be attracted to Spain, but does he love him? Or is it merely the idea of being loved by him that is attractive? It's a fascinating set up that could end in many ways. With this particular fic, I can't help but feel that it won't end well. And, somehow, I'm completely okay with that.
I'm on the edge of my seat, waiting to see how the story continues to unravel!
