England, on the other hand, is almost a foot shorter than she is, has heard the comments about his hair and eyebrows and fashion sense. Not to mention he feels so old lately and thinks it shows in his face. He's covered in scars from all the battles he's fought in while America barely has any, he's so awkward as a person, what the hell does she even see in him?
Somehow they managed to get together despite their own insecurities and have been in a relationship for a while. Except they haven't consummated it for fear of the other party not finding them attractive when they try to take it a step further or wanting to back out afterwards. I want the fic to be about them finally deciding to try consummating, being horribly insecure about it, and both of them finally coming clean with their fears when they both get hesitant about undressing.
I want nationverse, not a human AU, and for the responder to really make it clear how awkward they are about their bodies and the physical side of the relationship.
Bonus 1: First round of sex is clothed and missionary mainly because it makes America feel like she isn't quite so much taller than England and they want to be able to look each other in the face, but they're still insecure about the other seeing their body. They then experiment with other positions and undress properly afterwards.
Bonus 2: Worship and praise of the things their partner is insecure about. IE: England worshipping America's height and lankiness and any legitimate weight she has depending on if OP writes her as full figured or not. America reminding England that despite him being over a thousand years old, his body is twenty-three and while those eyebrows are weird they look good on him.
