Romania is a vampire, and Bulgaria is the one who loves him. They lead fairly ordinary lives, with Romania staying wrapped up during the day to protect him from the sun, and Bulgaria putting up with his night owl tendencies. Forgive the Twilight stuff, but Romania lives on animal blood.
One day, however, he is discovered as a vampire by the rest of the people, and they either leave him naked in the sun or stake him-- only he doesn't die immediately after he's been mortally hurt. Bulgaria does his best to save him, but it's no good-- they only have those last moments.
Please make it dramatic and sad, but evident that they loved each other.
