A human AU where Character A summons a demon, Character B, and they end up in a romantic/sexual relationship as per the norm. The twist is that it's the human character who is all obsessive/possessive over the demon character this time. Instead of demon powers backing them up, s/he's got whatever binds of dark magic s/he used to summon and control the demon. The second twist is that the demon isn't bound by the magic-- Character A isn't as good at it as s/he thinks-- but is sticking around out of amusement.
Bonus: Character B is not only not bound by magic, but was not truly summoned in the first place. S/he saw Character A's inept attempts at summoning and decided to have a little fun.

There are lots of stories where we've seen the nations having a meeting that goes horribly wrong and nothing gets done. I want to see a meeting where, maybe, tempers flare and irrelevant issues are hashed out, but ultimately the nations come to a sensible agreement about an important issue. Historical issue, make one up - whatever. Just give them a political job to do and write how they do it.

It seems to me that patriotism takes very different forms in different countries. Americans seem really open with their love for their country whereas in my experience, open patriotism outside sports events often gets associated with rightwing exremists or xenophobia in some European countries. It would be interesting to see something exploring this with Hetalia characters and how their people react to them.

I can't find it anymore but there's this TheMoreYouKnow post in Tumblr about how 1500's French women can accuse their husbands of impotency and the husbands have to prove it in front of court. And that if the they fail to get erect, they can then attempt to have sex with their wives, again in court (or whoever judges these things) to prove their wives' claims are false.
