YAY! My island!!!! Poor PR...being ignored. :( But I bet he wouldn't be invisible to Spain or Cuba. In fact, the only that forget PR exists sometimes is America since on an international level, PR is recognized by the international governments as part of Latin America and NOT the USA. (PR is an associate member of the Ibero-American Union, etc.) So technically PR is recognized at in part as a nation. (FYI...I'm Puerto Rican)

So that being said, I'd still love to see this!

I wrote a lead-up to the referendum, but didn't finish it. I was hoping to get an idea of how to end it from the vote, but it was as inconclusive as my fic! :o

According to this (http://www.rollcall.com/news/despite_advocates_claims_no_clear_consensus_on_puerto_rican_statehood-220874-1.html?pg=1), Congress has decided PR needs to do it again, this time with all the options on the table. Considering all the secession talk lately and the President's response--"the Union is eternal"--better to take more time making sure than rush in..

Guess no answer is sort of an ending..?
