While I agree with you on the writing style and errors, anon, I will point out that laved is in fact a word meaning to wash.

I do think you have great potential here, but there are a few mistakes that an editor could catch. What it feels like is something that "rolled hot off the press" rather than something you went back and re-edited.

Gah! So sorry for editing mistakes, but I tend to rush a bit when I get really into a story, and gloves and leather are both kinks of mine. *ahem* I'll do better in part two!
