In addition to this, he's a bit of an expert in books and texts in other languages, and has a library of rare volumes which he peruses constantly.

I would like to see France excavating somewhere (the usual suspects for excavation are all right, but if someone wants to surprise me with something less on the beaten path, that's fine) as part of a plan to woo the nation he is helping to enlighten about their past. However, any plans for seduction should be secondary to France's formidable thirst for knowledge.

Bonus: said nation expresses surprise at a studious, disciplined France with a passion for something not so romantic as archaeology.

This couple needs more love so: England goes courting. You know how he says he's a gentleman? Well who better than Fem!Canada to bring that side out?

I would like to see an AU in which the nations don't know each other's existence, i.e. they assume they are the only personification in the world.

What I specifically want is two nations meeting each other, each assuming the other is a human, and develop a friendship/love for each other. But later it revealed that their new friend was in fact their enemy/antagonizer/etc. I want to see the shock and the making-up after the revelation.

Any pairing/friendship pair goes, as long as you can work it into the above setting. But I am partial to France/Germany, France/Prussia, Prussia/Austria, England/France and England/Germany.

Nation/citizen (citizen in question could be a random person or an actual historical person) and it ends badly. I would prefer if it ended badly because of what the nation is and they're more bitter than angsty about it.
