"Didn't they get your text?" Francis asked.

"They thought I meant going to the library. Not that I corrected them. I guess I should've known," Matthieu muttered darkly. Being forgotten was ever a sore spot with him.

Francis reached out. "There, there. I can offer many forms of comfort, though I can't be kneeling in any of them. I like these pants too much."

Matthieu finally cracked a smile.

"Besides, you know I'll never forget you, right?" Francis said gently.

Matthieu began rubbing at his cheek in that determined way he hadn't seen much of in a while. As if he could rub away the evidence of his blush.

"I hope so," he murmured.

Abruptly, Matthieu reached out, so eager and willing. The book was set aside for more pleasurable pursuits.

"I only get fifteen minutes, let's make them count," Matthieu said.

"Fifteen minutes? Is that even legal?" Francis said.

Matthieu shrugged. "I don't know, but I'm not going to be the one to take them to court on it."

"Ah. Well, lucky for you, I'm good at making things quick...and memorable," Francis said.

Then they were tangled up in each other, kissing like their lives depended on it.
