That night had been hell. Still… “He did that because of me?”
Veneziano nodded. “You kept buying a girl drinks and laughing about how well she could hold her alcohol. I think Spain wanted to show you that he could do better.” Both seemed to realize at the same time that the problem had come back to girls. “So you think he gets jealous?” Veneziano asked in a soft voice. “I think maybe he does. ‘Cause you show a lot of affection to girls, but not so much to Big Brother Spain.”
“Well Spain’s stupid if he thinks…” Romano shrugged, unable to put his thoughts into words. He loved girls, but not in the same way he loved Spain, and somehow that made it easier to shower them with pretty words he didn’t really mean. “Anyways, he’s been really mad at me, and so we haven’t really been doing… stuff…”
“Like watching movies and going out on dates?”
Romano would have punched Veneziano if he didn’t know that his brother was really that slow. He moved away to pull his knees to his chest and wrap his arms around himself. This was fucking embarrassing to admit. “Not those kinds of things, idiot. Special things… bedroom things…”
“Oh! Sex!”
“Shut up!” Romano cried, ducking his head. And then the stress of the past weeks caught up with him and forced him to spill his heart out. “Yes, ok? He hasn’t been doing that kind of stuff with me. And at first I thought it was because he was mad, and he’d get over it, but he didn’t. So then I tried really hard to get him to do stuff, but he still wouldn’t, and even when I thought he was going to, he didn’t! And now he’s just really cold to me, and I’ve been thinking that maybe I went too far, and maybe we’re never going to be like we were ever again because I acted so stupid and he’s fallen out of love with me!” A sob escaped before Romano could help it and he curled into himself as Veneziano hovered nearby, unsure of what to say.
“That’s… that can’t be—“
“Yes it is! He’s not interested in me anymore. I wish I never would have thought it would be fun to make him jealous. Flirting with a thousand pretty girls isn’t worth th-this…” Romano sniffled into his arms, and then he heard an unexpected voice.
“Ok. That’s it. Veneziano, if you don’t mind, I’ll be taking this off your hands.”
Romano wasn’t entirely sure what happened, but one moment he was sitting beside his brother on the couch, and the next moment he was hoisted onto a large shoulder, and everything turned upside down.

I was grinning so hard throughout this that my cheeks hurt (even if I did 'aww' at how Romano just couldn't give Spain the apology he needed until this part). I absolutely love how the world seemed to be conspiring against Romano's quest to have hot Spainard sex and how ridiculously hot Romano's sexual fantasies were.
