"It's alright, I understand," said England, nodding. "You may come along, if you want. I worded the letter as delicately as I could... Now, I think it's about time you dried off. The water is probably getting cold." He set down a set of folded, wool clothing for the younger to wear to bed. The discussion that he knew had to happen regarding the actions to be taken in fixing the whole mess could wait until tomorrow. It had been a long day for the both of them. His poor brother was probably tired, and he had a lot of work that would be best done uninterrupted. "There's some spare hardtack from the journey over, and plenty of water, but not too much else, I'm afraid. We're still awaiting more supplies." They couldn't get any from the colonists for obvious reasons.
"I'm fine, not hungry." America mumbled, waiting for England to turn around again before standing up and drying himself off. How could he look his men in the face and tell them the war was a bad idea? He knew they would be disappointed but he had no other choice, maybe he would stay with England for awhile after this he thought, they were all old anyways, he could always come back once they've all died or something.
As soon as he was sure his brother was dressed, England turned around once again. "This way... Do you want to sleep on your own, or do you want to sleep with me?" America was still due for a bad caning, but that was another thing that could wait until the next day.
"I guess with you." America mumbled, feeling pathetic for saying it. Still, it had been years since he had last shared a bed with England, it would be nice, it would also keep him warm, he was getting quite cold.
England wrapped his hand over America's shoulder. Though Alfred was taller, he was still Arthur’s little set of colonies. "Very well. Are you sure you don't want any water? Tea?” Tea was yet another thing he was running low on, but it wasn't the end of the world if they had to turn to water alone until the supply ship arrived.
"Maybe some water, I don't want any tea." America mumbled, leaning in close to England. "But honestly I'm just tired, I would be fine without water if you don't wanna get me any." he said, yawning. He hoped tomorrow would be a better day, a fresh new start he figured.
"That's quite alright, Alfred." England ushered him into the room before once again calling one of the maids over; the same one that had drawn the water. One couldn't exactly bring too many luxuries over with them during a war. The two that did come only did so because their relatives were among those going to 'war.' "Go get some water for my brother. If all goes well, your son Timothy won't see battle, after all." Not there, at least, but it was enough to get her to nod and immediately run off to do just that.
America sat on the bed and waited, wishing England would stop bringing up the war, the war that he should have never started in the first place. After all, he couldn't even control his body, how could he control a whole nation had he won?
She returned shortly with a bowl of water, rather than a cup. "I'm sorry, sir, but the cups are all being used by the soldiers. It was either this or a bucket."
"It's fine. Thank you, Emily," England told her, nodding respecfully and shutting the door after she was gone. "Alfred, you heard that, right? Just be careful when you drink out of it so that it doesn't spill. It's cold enough today without a wet cot to sleep in."
America nodded, taking the bowl and carefully drinking up all the water. "Can we go to sleep now? I...I just want to forget this day ever happened." he said, avoiding looking at England again. "Surely you're tired as well, plus we need our sleep for tomorrow."
Well, he had intended to continue working, but come to think of it, he WAS tired... "You're not getting out of your punishment, but yes, I think you're right about getting some sleep." Tomorrow was going to be exhausting. Not only that, but he would probably need to raise taxes again once all was said and done to pay for the resources the whole thing had caused him, further angering the people of the thirteen colonies. Uhg. There was no winning sometimes.
America lied down in the bed, it was small but he didn't mind, sharing it with another person would mean he would stay warm. "G'night England." he mumbled, pulling the blanket up and rolling on his side, wondering what his punishment would be. He just hoped his people would be okay and not be too angry at the fact that he was ending all this.
"Good night, Alfred," England whispered back, kissing him on the forehead and getting in himself, too tired to change out of his uniform. Eh, it wouldn't be the first time he had slept in it. "Sleep well." Lord knew it would be the first proper rest Arthur had gotten for some time.

A/N That's all, folks. Hope this is what the requester wanted. If not, err, sorry about that, and we hope you like it anyway! :3
Very well done and descriptive. I could see how in a moment of weakness Alfred could be coaxed into trusting Arthur...
My only problem with this was the ending. What would trigger Alfred into wanting to fight England again? Unless this is an alternate universe where America doesn't win independence?
But don't get me wrong. I did overall really like this fill. :)
So sorry for not commenting earlier, I totally missed this.
This was so, so good anon. I have such a humiliation and wetting kink, and this was just the sort of thing I was hoping for. Seriously, well written and I love how Arthur manipulated Alfred like that. Just... <33
(Also, did you link this in the fills list? I didn't see it there, and if you didn't, it'd be awesome if you did - it's so good, I'm sure others would want to read)
Wow... This was awesome. I liked the balance of manipulative Imperial!England and the concern for his younger brother. Alfred's reactions seemed IC to me, as were England's.
I'd really like to see Washington's (and the other's) reactions to Alfred surrendering to Arthur and how the meeting between them would go.
