This was the first General Winter and Matthew prompt I have seen and I just love it. The relationship between them that steadily grew and matured was done very nicely and well-paced.
This sort of reminded me of "To Kill A Mockingbird" with Boo Radley, how he was frightening at first to the kids, but in reality, he was actually their friend.
