I remember reading about the Preußenschlag, and how many of the ones to lead the attempt to assassinate Hitler were of Prussian origin... Never heard of the Rosenstraße protest before, but I am now more educated, thanks to this fic. And wow. This was amazing.
I love how you showed Gilbert's growing desperation during the Third Reich. I mean, how hard should it really be to kill just one man... Very touching. Uhh... Sorry I can't seem to be able to put together a better comment, but I really, really loved this fic.
