In my head, the last scene is set, like, sometime between 1890 and 1929. Maybe a little later. But it's definitely before the civil rights movement, since Texas has been male for less than a century, and he made the final switch over during the civil war. I'm pretty sure current!Texas is less of an asshole. (Though he's still a little...hmmmm...whacko.)
