I just read this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek-Turkish_earthquake_diplomacy and after regaining some of my faith in humanity and wanting to baaaw, I have to request Turkey/Greece based on this event.
I remember seeing it in the news when it had happened, but I totally forgot despite the fact that it had made me go 'holy shit Greece and Turkey genuinely helping each other did I slip into bizarro world what' back then.
This anon also started drawing (http://i39.tinypic.com/34ihguc.png) a fancomic of it but then got lazy due to perfectionism, so will give you a drabble instead. Hopefully by the end of tomorrow. ♥
Russia was there first; cold hands bandaging up his arm sloppily, before moving away saying that was the most he could do for now, and would you like some vodka for the pain?
No. So he was left shaking from the pain, gritting his teeth, trying not to let it show.
The brat came next. There was a long moment, him not acknowledging that the other country was standing over him, probably there to gloat, or kick him when he was down. Stiffening his body, he prepared for a strike when Greece seemed to raise his hand.
After a long minute, no strike came. He deigned to look up, and saw the hand stretched out, as if offering to help him stand.
"Russia... said you were hurt." Was the simple reply to his stare, a neutral look on the tan face, olive green eyes betraying no thoughts. It's not like he could ever really understand what the other was thinking anyway, as the Greek's mind was so often far up in the clouds.
Against his better judgment, a feeling not unlike gratitude swept through him. Thus, with his better arm, he took the other country's hand.
Oh my god yes. Yes! Please continue it. I've been waiting for this awesome prompt to be filled since I laid eyes on it, and you've got a lovely narrative going so far--I like that you set it in Turkey's POV, too. Always nice to get inside the guy's head.
♥♥♥♥♥ Anon with major soft spot for this pair begs for more, because there just isn't enough material for them out there ever. ;A;
