Re: Slithering in Silence: Prologue (final + notes)

They took it in and cared for it as their own, and when it hatched, and Berwald saw the scales it had for eyebrows and the blue, human tone of its eyes, he recognized the parents and felt forgiven. They named it Peter.

Although the snake-people Berwald had killed had no true gender, they both referred to Peter as their son.

So, uhm, there. I've never written anything about nagas ever before, so I hope this is acceptable and I am not violating any fanon rules D: I'm going with some kind of fantasy setting with a few modern elements.

I wanted the concept of Tino and Berwald not being an established couple because I wanted it to be a big change in Peter's life when they suddenly get together--he would start asking questions about love and partnership, maybe wonder if his parents were going to give him a brother. You know. And stuff. Also, a healthy dose of UST never hurt no-one ;D

Also, I had devised the nagas in this story to be somewhat more like snails in their reproductive behaviour--they are not male or female, but hermaphrodites. Yes, I did this solely for the bonus xD I still like the idea and will explain more of it later on (if you don't think it's yucky ;D)
