Ame Rus Know Each Other Inside and Out

During the Cold War, Russia and America got to know each other very, very well. As in they know every last one of each other's daily/weekly/monthly/annual habits and traditions, unconscious tics, favorite everythings, least favorite everythings, and so on. Such knowledge wouldn't vanish overnight just because the war ended, nor would the habit of keeping an eye on the other.

So what I'm thinking is just how eerie these two manage to make themselves when they can accurately predict the other's reaction to some proposed plan or deal, or when they unconsciously do small things for/to each other like brew coffee exactly to taste right before they walk in or add a small folded piece of paper to the bottom of the other's chair, just enough to make it unbalanced and irritate the person sitting on it. These are examples, not required.

I'd initially say no RusAme simply because getting together would mess with the routines and habits they know so well, although if it could be worked in believably then I'd be more than happy. If there are other pairings with them, have the paired nation worried that the other guy knows their boyfriend better than they do.

Bonus: If no RusAme, have either/both of them confronted on their relationship only to get laughed at and told 'that'd mess up our routine. Besides, they like (insert Nation here) anyway'

Bonus: If RusAme, the two didn't get together in a normal way. I'm thinking either they simply sat down for coffee one day and talked about it like a regular meeting, or else they just simply start doing couple-y stuff without going through the budding/awkward romance steps, but feel free to come up with your own weird get-together. Make the romantics tear their hair in frustration.
