Hi! I'm not the anon from the above comments, but I hope you don't mind a fill anyway. If anything, this is going to be a collection of shorts, or just this quick drabble, because I'm not really up to a log narrative right now. To top it all off, my internet's absolutely rubbish right now, so no promises.
All countries will have human names, with Rome's being Anthony (Antoninus was the ancient Roman version of this name so I chose- lazy anon is lazy) and Germania's being Gerald (meaning “Spear ruler.”) There may also be shipping in this. I should warn you that my favourite pairings include GerIta, PruAus, and a ton more, but those in particular are my favourite's. Feel free to warn me if you have a particular pairing you can't stand. Denmark is Anderson and Liechtenstein is Erika.
Ludwig was in a car accident when he was a young child. Its important to know that right from the start, and Gerald always made sure to mention it to those who had only just met him, for you see, due to this, he had experienced significant memory loss, most of it being the year before his accident. References to that year, and his childhood in general, tended to upset him, which tended to 'upset' Gerald, Basch, Austria, Erika, Berwald, and Andersen, but not Gilbert, who was “too awesome to get upset” and instead resorted to beating the perpetrator, often quiet viciously.
Sometimes Ludwig got flashes, just little ones, like his father laughing, him and his brothers playing hide and seek, a young girl, at least he thinks she was a girl, in a pretty green dress, with a curl peeping out, just visible, through her cap. Then, just as quickly, it was gone. Overall, the Ludwig who was now just in his teens was fairly content, if only he could get away from his damn step-brothers.
Well, one in particular would do.
Feliciano was a nuisance, a pest. Everyday, Ludwig was forever having to save him from the tiniest things, such as Heracles's army of stray cats, kept in the attic where the sleepy young adolescent could be found most of the time.
Having just done the same that day (this time he had saved him from the clutches of their new neighbour Ivan, a rather frightening Russian boy who clearly lacked friends for obvious reasons) when the boy with the- oh so somehow familiar- curl ran up to him.
“What is it?” Ludwig had settled on the couch with a beer that hopefully his father wouldn't find out he had stolen from the fridge. His step-father wouldn't be a problem, he was sure. In fact, he was more likely to encourage him.
“Gilbert locked Austria in his room while he was practising the piano and asked me to look after it, but Austria yelled at me to unlock the door and I was going to, but the key fell down the stairs and this is a big house and I ca't find it, and big brothers Francis and Arthur say that father and your father will be so mad and blame me!”
“Alright, let's see if we can find it.”
Meanwhile, Anthony had found something in the children's isle that reminded him of the past.
“It looks just like the little dress we used to put Feliciano in as a bambino!” he gushed, showing the little green frilly dress with an apron.
“You put your son in a dress?” Gerald asked.
“He looked so cute!” Anthony put the dress carefully back and walked out the store hand in hand with his new husband.
Fill!
