“ENGLAND!”
England had been watering the flower bed on his lawn (with an old-style watering pot, of course). It was a relatively peaceful day for England; it was mid-afternoon, and the sun was hanging lazily in the sky. It wasn’t unduly warm outside, nor was it cold. England thought this rather pleasant day felt more like spring than summer, but he was grateful for it and not about to complain. He relaxed on the front porch with a couple of turkey sandwiches, taking in the smell of flowers and watching the birds dart to-and-fro.
“ENGLAND!”
America showed up to his house. The nation was so distressed that he hadn’t even bothered to change out of his blue pajamas yet. The sandy-haired US waved his arms wildly at the older country, as if he thought that England could not plainly see the lunatic trampling all over the lawn.
“I have eyes. I can see you quite clearly.”
America stopped waving his arms, but started jumping up and down instead. “ENGLAND! I think Mexico and Canada are plotting against me.”
England was caught utterly speechless. “Wha…what?”
“They are! I just know it. They’re been hanging out together way too much lately.”
England took a deep breath. “America-”
“-She’s my girlfriend, that’s not cool. He shouldn’t be around her so much-”
“America! Canada is not plotting against you, nor is he after your girlfriend.”
The nation brightened up considerably. “Does that mean you know whatever is going on?”
England laughed. “Mexico decided to recognize gay marriages. She consulted your brother for advice, that’s all.”
America plopped himself down next to England. He helped himself to one of England’s sandwiches. The older nation lightly smacked the younger one on the head. Though, truth be told, he was genuinely happy that America liked the sandwich enough to steal it.
"That was my sandwich."
America stopped halfway through a bite. The nation rummaged around his jacket for a bit, and pulled out a large yellow sticker. With one swift motion, the nation took the sticker off it's paper backing and stuck it on England's plate.

(I should have done user notes.) I'm going by settlement dates of the colonies, not proper chronological state order (which for simplicity in the case of the-states-as-America's-kids, I don't start using till Vermont). It's less brain-breaking for me to rely on the fanon that America popped out all these kids in the time before the first thirteen became states, than it is having him have three kids in 1787, then nine in 1788 and so on.

Well, he sort of kept the peace by invading Russia's vital regions. XD I was going to write that out, but it wasn't the point of the fic.
Canada stood in the grocery store down the street from his house. America had begged him to make and bring dip to their (his, America, and Russia's) sports night, so he was here to buy everything he needed. Of course, he was thoroughly distracted by the giant Canadian Molson sale display he had found on his way to produce. It couldn't be ignored. It was a sign from some higher power. Probably not from Tim again, though, which was a shame - the look on America's face when a Timmy's had opened in New York had brought Canada private, delicious glee for the better part of that year.
Who cared who this was a sign from? It was a damn good idea. Canada bought three twelve backs and dip ingredients, got into his car, and then had second thoughts, turned around, and when back to the store to buy four more packs.
