While being in Ivan’s house, he holds on to his love as a form of coping with what's going on around him, but after WWII, the Western Betrayal happens and it breaks his sanity; he develops an obsession with Al that only festers and festers as he sees America with other partners, take center stage in world affairs, and engage his Russian master.

When the Soviet bloc falls, Lithuania quickly applies for all international organizations and vows to make America his again. By force, if necessary (force here being deceit, poisoning or something, since Lithuania is weaker than America, but he must know a lot of tricks dealing with bigger and more powerful nations)

If you want to give America a steady partner in the present, I like him with England, France, Russia, China or Germany.
