I think all comments that are not directly related to the request (such a a question or clarification of the request, or a review) need to be deleted and against the rules. They cause drama and take up unnecessary space.

The new rules discourage comments not related to the fill / request, and for right now we're asking anons to use their discretion when it comes to making comments.

Hello mods! How are you? I like what you've done with the place, sexy but practical -- shag carpeting too, tre bien. So, yeah, I have a shitload of suggestions, check it:

-a clear, uniform, bullet-list of the rules, at the top of EVERY PART of the meme like the phoenix wright kink meme. The different sizes/colors system at the moment isn't very reader-friendly.

-link at the top of the most recent part to any current meme NEWS/EVENTS. I think a few sites only link to the most active part of the meme, so anons may not be aware of any events going on on the front page.

-encouragement to check the meme (now awesomely easy with the delicious tagging thing) for similar requests before posting.

-get to the point with your requests. i.e. 'America/Canada - Car sex' instead of some chat log between you and your friend that isn't nearly as hilarious as you think it is.

-made a request? fill a request.

-enjoyed a fill? leave a comment.

-something like a Kink Meme Clean Up post (Kinky Meme Maid?), sort of like this suggestions post, but for anons who have misfired comments/story parts/requests where they can throw a link to their flub and a mod can come along and delete it. Saves the mod time going through pages of posts looking for errant comments and anons could point out old misfires/wank/chatting that needs deleting. A link to the clean up post would be good alongside the rules.

So is it only the posts overloaded in praise that will be unscreened? Funny, that. People are allowed to call others "bitches" and it's not wanky, but if we did the same? Screened or deleted!

This issue requires further discussion between the mods.

However, the poster above did used abusive language. It is difficult to decide whether or not to screen a post if their content is useful. Rude language is discouraged, but if the post has essential information, such as a fill, there are only two things we can do. If the abusive language is detected before it has been replied to, we can re-post the comment without the offending material. This method could arouse rage against us, as 'offending' is an subjective term. The other method is to leave it, and hope no fistfights over it occur.

Also, please take note that there is more than one mod. This means that during the pruning process, each mod uses his/her own judgment to screen, or even delete comments. This does not always agree with others, but what is done is done. We are still learning using this negative feedback loop, so even negative comments are appreciated, with the exception of 'nonconstructive criticism'. This would include direct attacks at mods or anonymouses regarding their own personal kinks, mistakes they have made, or their actions in regards to the community. Once again, this is subjective.

I'm fairly certain others have complained about this already in the kink meme itself, but one thing that's really been bothering me and has clearly risen in popularity since part one is the amount of "just for the sake of pissing off fandomsecrets" requests? I know there's no way to go all the way and say "no, your kink is wrong, but is there some way to discourage this sort of thing?

If it is a legitimate request (meaning, with a pairing/character and a kink), then it will stay.

However, if they only ask for something 'just for the sake of pissing off fandomsecrets' without a pairing or kink... that post will certainly be deleted.

As for discouragement, it is never known when someone will make a request such as that one. The only thing we can do is give them a Warning comment.

Hello, wonderful mods!

I've been considering filling a request for a while, and when I finally decided to, the window told me that I could no longer post comments on the page.

Upon rereading and rereading the rules, I knew that even though requests could no longer be filled for that part, people could still fill requests, so I'm wondering if that can be fixed so that I could post this wonderful prompt? Thank you very much~

The rules don't need to be fixed I'm pretty sure. They say:

Regarding part 1
  

You can of course still fill requests for part one. Here's how you would go about doing it:

1. Click 'post a new comment' at Part Three.  At the very top of the fill, provide a link  to the original Part One request .
2. Post your fill.
3. In Part One, reply at the original request with a link to your fill (if there is still comment space. If not, disregard this step).
4. Finally, reply at the Part One Fill Thread in Part Three with a link to the fill.

All comments to your fill should be in Part three. If Part One ever becomes completely full, all fills and comments will continue to be posted in Part Three. An example can be found here.

Oooh, looks like part 1 has finally been maxed out with 10000 comments. I know there's a new system for posting fills for part 1 requests, but now people can't comment on old fills. Maybe a mod can go through and delete any long off-topic comment threads or any seconds/thirds/fourths/etc for requests that already have fills?

Or would that be a bit too much? Also -

It would be a better idea to post your fill in part 3 - Following the rules like any other fill. That way comments to your fill can be directly attached to your post.

This is more of a question than a "I messed up"-esque thing, but it's been bothering me. Under some requests or fills every now and again, I see "ReCaptcha: ____." What exactly does that mean?

When a user posts a comment anonymously they sometimes have to type in two random 'words' (sometimes numbers, or fractions or something else weird) to prove that they are human. "ReCaptcha" is the name of the little window that makes you do this.
Essentially anons are mentioning what words they had to type. It isn't really relevant to anything important...

I just did a couple of test replies there and I don't seem to be getting and '...' yet.

The fills that were posted correctly haven't started to '...' yet either. At least for me.
If you are seeing properly posted fills '...' could you please take a screen shot so I can figure out what's going on?
Otherwise, thank you for letting me know, but there seems to still be room to post fill links.

I think it would be a pretty good idea to edit the rules post and set it under "no adult content" so it will be easier to spot. It would be easier for people to see it, too.

This Anon keeps seeing a looot of misfires in the part 3 meme. Can hetalia kink has directions on how to properly reply to a person's comment? Silly people are too oblivious to see the 'reply to this' button, and they obviously need some help.
