And I have just got to say, I like how you're using a president character for this prompt. Even with how corrupt and skeevy he is, he is automatically someone a nation-tan like America would inherently trust and look up to (or would tell himself to). So the eventual fallout of Clayton's behavior is probably going to be even greater than it would have been if he were just a normal citizen.
