So despite the Russian and American governments having not been on very good terms since the 1900s, it's my personal headcanon that America and Russia, as people, have done their best to stay reasonably friendly. I'd love to see something with Russia and America acting happy and friendly with one another and someone else (nation or government worker or whoever, that's up for author!anon to decide) being completely bewildered by it.

Bonus: references to pre-WWI relations between the two (the United States and Russia were on good terms from almost immediately after the US won the Revolution up until the Bolshevik takeover in 1917) are included anywhere in the story
