One day, Romano completely loses it and cusses at everything and breaks one of Italy's most precious things on purpose, which makes Italy flip out on him. As Spain is trying to calm Romano down, he accidentally hits one of Spain's sensitive sides hard and Spain is left very very angry, also flipping out on him with Italy. In the end, Romano ends up making all the countries really pissed at him one way or another.

On the verge of tears, he escapes to his room and ends up feeling really really really guilty. So he writes an apology letter to each of his friends, leaving it in his room, and resigning as an country- allowing no one to remember him. And because of his guilt, has a change in personality.

One faithful day, he accidentally bumps into Spain and now complete Italy as they were walking around, and gets a panic attack and runs away from them.
