Francine is very interesting. I like the way she's not getting impressed by the situation and refuses to give up who she is. It is a bit disturbing in the same time (was Francine a volunteer? or did she just obeyed the orders?...)
The original name is Alsace-Lorraine though, since it is a translation from the German (and because the shape of the Moselle département was different than the part of Lorraine annexated by Germany in 1871). It was and is still the one mostly used. But Alsace-Moselle is as well - but far less (mostly for everything about laws, healthcare, linguistic policies, and all the things related to the consequences of the annexation), and is prefered in the region.
