Where is this alleged German stigma, I wonder? O.o I'm honestly stumped as to where this occurs as more than an individual anomaly. I've lived all over the US for four decades -- hush, I'm not older than dirt, really! -- and I've never encountered such a thing, excluding a few former prisoners of war. Hell, even the Holocaust survivors don't evince any prejudice; they of all people know better, I suppose.

Maybe it just occurs in some region I've never been to? ... I have a burning need to investigate this, seriously. OTL
