"Estooooniaaaa." Prussia flopped onto his stomach, displacing a few threadbare pillows from the already stiff couch as he did so. Estonia had to adjust the way he sat to accomodate for the inevitability of Prussia scooting over to rest his head on the bespecaled nation's jean-covered thigh, obviously to get a better look at the soft glowing screen of his Dell laptop. "When're you gonna be done with your work?"
Estonia sighed, for Prussia had just asked that same exact question less than five minutes ago. "You know, every time you ask, it diverts my attention, therefore increasing the amount of time before I finish."
"This is bull, anyways. What kind of crap boss gives you all this stuff to do on a weekend? I mean, yeah, Germany works all the time, but half of that stuff isn't exactly assigned, y'know? Just wants to get it all out of the way so he won't have to do it later, so he can do more work. But this..." Prussia shook his head slightly so as not to cause Estonia to drop the laptop. "You've been working for six hours straight, and it's Sunday! The weekend's supposed to be fun, you know, a time to relax!"
"It's difficult to relax when one has so many responsibilities. Besides, I only have this one message to send, and I'll be finished-"
"- finally -"
"- and you can show me what you've been begging to since you arrived here." It was true: the minute Estonia opened the door, Prussia had burst in, rattling on about this really weird thing that he just HAD to show him, and COULD NOT WAIT a SECOND. In fact, it had been waiting for the entire morning and the better part of the afternoon.
Prussia didn't answer, opting instead to sit up and scoot closer to the Baltic so that he could rest his head against Estonia's shoulder, burgundy eyes flicking to and fro between the Estonian being typed on the screen; the cold, slender fingers jumping across the keyboard to type said Estonian; and simply nothing at all, glazing over with boredom. Estonia didn't mind this. In fact, secretly, he was glad that Prussia had even bothered to come over in the first place, even if it was only to show him something probably trivial when compared to his work. The fact that he had stayed for six entire hours further impressed him, especially considering that Prussia was not known for his patience or long attention span. But still, here he was, showing no sign of leaving no matter how bored he really was.
That was one of the things that endeared the former nation to Estonia, and one of the things that made them such good friends.
"Aaaand... lõpetatud," Estonia said triumphantly, clicking the "send" button in the corner of the screen, casting away the last portion of his work into cyberspace. Prussia lifted his head to face Estonia, with that look of 'what the hell does that mean' plastered all over his face, one that had become synonymous with, 'I have no idea how to speak Estonian.' With the smallest of sighs, Estonia passed the laptop to Prussia, shuddering as the warmth from the heated processor left his legs. "Finished. I'm done. Now you can show me that... whatever it is that you want me to see."
"Oh, awesome! Danke, Este!" Prussia, who was normally quite careless with other people's belongings, handled the laptop like a baby made out of glass, as though it could break any second. Though it had never been directed at him specifically, he knew firsthand how scary Estonia could be if someone even got so much as a scratch on his beloved computer. It wasn't like Estonia couldn't fix it right away and make it better than it was before, but Prussia still didn't wish to incur his wrath, especially after he had just gotten done working. That was just suicidal thinking right there.
Suddenly, Rule 34 [1/?]
